Helensburgh Amateur Swimming club sent some of their best swimmers to the one day Kingston Sprints event held at Larkhall leisure Centre.

A strong team of 8 swimmers took part in 26 events setting new personal best times in 20 events with all swimmers securing a personal best time in at least 1 event. 4 swimmers excelled on the day bringing home 3 Gold and 1 bronze medal between them.

Medal winners were Isabella Brown who secured a gold medal in the 50m Butterfly in the age 10 category, Lily Boultby swimming in the age 12 category secured a gold medal in the 50m Backstroke and a strong PB of 4.76s, she also secured a huge pb of 5.13s in the 50m Butterfly , Ethan Parsons who secured a gold medal in the 50m Breaststroke in the age 13 category and Michael Payne who secured a bronze medal in the 50m Freestyle in the age 14 category.

Whilst everyone is to be commended for the number of personal best times set special mention goes to a few swimmers who took it to another level on the day. Olivia Kershaw -Yates swimming in the age 10 category secured Pbs in all 4 of her events, she set the biggest PB of the day with a breath-taking 19.97 seconds in the 50m Butterfly and impressive PBs in her other events, 7.82s in the 50m Backstroke, 5.02s in the 50m Breaststroke and 3.68s in the 50m Freestyle. Notable PBs were also set by Della Smith swimming in the age 12-13 category who secured a very impressive pb of 6.72s in the 50m Backstrok and Ellie Crome swimming in the age 9 category who secured a very strong pb of 6.42s in the 50m Freestyle. Lastly Breagha Higgins, new to the club, swimming in the age 10 category secured strong pbs in 2 out of 3 of her events, a great start.
