From Head Coach:

All entries need to be in by Friday 27 November

We are offering the swimmers the chance to compete in a virtual Argyll and Clyde competition.  This competition happens annually usually at the end of September and swimmers compete against clubs in Inverclyde (Greenock), Kintyre (Campbeltown), Islay and Oban. This year, for obvious reasons, the competition did not happen but this virtual one will replace the fixture.

It will take place over a two week period from 30 November to 13 December. All races will be arrived at as time trials during the training session. The table below shows when each competition will be carried out.

As is normal with galas (except the club competitions), there will be an entry fee of £2 per event. The Gala Convenor will email you with payment details once the entries have been submitted.

The events are as follows:

25m in each stroke for under 8 years old
50m in each stroke for all other ages groups
100m freestyle for under 13s and 14 and over age groups
100m IM for under 13s and 14 and over age groups

There will be medals and ribbons for the winners.

All entries need to be in by Friday 27 November so I URGENTLY need you to let me know if you require your child to be entered and if so, which events. Please contact me on hasc.headcoach01@gmail.com.

For information, the table below shows additional time trials and these will provide me with times that I can enter into the West District and Nationals ranking systems. There are no prizes for the rankings entries – it is merely a chance for the older swimmers to understand the impact of their training against their foes from other clubs.

I am hopeful that we will have a good participation in the Argyll and Clyde event so please get your entries in to me ASAP.
