Last weekend swimmers from Helensburgh Amateur Swimming club joined their Argyll & Clyde swimming team team mates for a weekend of training in Machrihanish . The Argyll & Clyde swimming team  is selected from swimmers across the regions’ clubs, HASC, Inverclyde, Dunoon, Oban, Kintyre and Islay & Jura. Caitriona Stewart, William Peace and Finlay Martin represented Helensburgh.

A total of 25 swimmers from across the region took part over the 3 days combining pool training in Campbeltown’s  Aqualibrium pool, with land training to build core strength,  there was even some time to take advantage of the excellent conditions at Machrihanish beach with a surf lesson.  It was also the first outing for the clubs new Argyll & Clyde branded kit.
All three HASC swimmers threw themselves into the activities and worked and played hard. They benefited from swimming against their teammates in a friendly gala with all three performing very well.
