POOLSIDE HELPERS TROPHY

The Poolside Helpers Trophy was donated by George Antrobus (originally of the Helensburgh Trophy Centre) and was donated specifically for a ‘Poolside Helper’ (not a paid coach) who was voted for by the club swimmers.

THE COACHES QUAICH

The Coaches Quaich was donated in 1991, our Centenary Year, by Kim Tree who was the Club Coach at that time. The winner is decided by the current club coach. The criteria for winning this award is the “the swimmer must be someone who puts in a lot of effort to training and above all sets a good example to the younger club members”. A key factor in deciding on the recipient should be their willingness to take part in any meeting or gala for the true sportsmanship of representing the club.

THE ENDEAVOUR TROPHIES

The Endeavour Trophies were first awarded in 1981 and were presented to swimmers who did not win a major trophy but had trained and swum well throughout the year.

THE CENTENARY CUP

The Centenary Cup was first presented in 1991 to commemorate the club’s 100th Anniversary and was bought by the club. The ‘Cup’ was to be presented by each section of the club as decided on a rotational basis, i.e. Lifesaving, Disability and Swimming.
